“KOB 3” is Coming: Here’s What We Know So Far

Nollywood filmmaker Kemi Adetiba has revealed that the much-anticipated third installment of the “King of Boys” franchise, officially titled “The Beginning of the End”, will premiere on December 25, 2025.
Adetiba made the announcement on her Instagram page on Wednesday, accompanied by a short teaser video. In the caption, she wrote, “KOB Army, arise. It’s time we move. Signed, your general,” while using hashtags such as #KOB3, #TheBeginningOfTheEnd, and #KAV25.
What We Know So Far
The filmmaker first announced the production of “King of Boys 3” on January 18, 2024, expressing her excitement to continue the story. “I’m honored to be able to come back to tell this story,” she said. Adetiba also hinted at what fans can expect, noting, “New characters getting introduced, and a few old ones returning. But the KOB impact remains the same.”
Sola Sobowale, who plays Alhaja Eniola Salami, has been confirmed to reprise her role as the franchise’s central figure. However, other cast details remain undisclosed.
A Powerful Legacy
The “King of Boys” series, which began in 2018, has earned critical acclaim for its gripping narrative about Alhaja Eniola Salami’s rise in politics and her entanglements with the underworld. The sequel, “King of Boys: The Return of the King”, debuted on Netflix in 2021 as a seven-episode series, breaking streaming records and further cementing the franchise’s place in Nollywood history.
