Veteran Nollywood filmmaker Kunle Afolayan has unveiled the official poster for his anticipated film “Recall”, confirming its theatrical release for April 4, 2025.
Afolayan, who produced and directed the psychological thriller, features Sharon Ooja in the lead role as Anita. The film also stars an ensemble cast, including Patience Ozokwor, Shan George, Muyiwa Ademola, Bolaji Ogunmola, Tina Mba, and Bimbo Akintola.
Announcing the release date via his Instagram page on March 3, Afolayan teased the film’s central conflict—a love story disrupted by a mysterious turn of events.
“What if the love of your life forgot you? Goke’s world shatters when Anita wakes up with no memory of him or their children. As he fights to restore their love, a dark secret threatens to keep them apart forever,” he wrote.
The film follows Goke and Anita, a couple struggling to keep their love alive when Anita suffers sudden memory loss. As Goke fights to bring back their past, hidden truths emerge, complicating their relationship.
Afolayan also revealed two emerging talents in the film—Milare Ogunmefun as Damilare and Akorede Lawal as Diran.
“Recall” premiered at the 2024 Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) on November 7, and will be distributed by Cinemax when it hits the cinemas nationwide in April.
