Daniel Omogunloye’s “Mara” Earns Five Nominations at KFF 2025
Mara, directed by Daniel “Daney” Omogunloye, has earned five nominations at the upcoming Kingdom Film Festival (KFF) 2025, which celebrates faith-based filmmakers.
Omogunloye announced the nominations on Instagram, revealing his nod for Best Director, where he will compete alongside Olumide Kuti (The Middle Ground) and Peter Inyang (Unbound).
Other nominations include Blessing Boyede for Best Female Actor, Gbenga Olusola for Best Male Actor, and Seun Sodeke, who received dual nods for Best Cinematography and Best Editing.

According to Omogunloye, the recognition reflects the team’s dedication to creating a story that resonates emotionally. “It’s a story that explores love, faith, and the quiet struggles faced by many women today,” he said.
With the KFF 2025 nominations, Mara now holds two Best Cinematography nominations, adding to its earlier recognition at the 2026 Filmjoint Awards and reinforcing its growing acclaim for visual storytelling.
