The Music Business Academy for Africa (MBAFA) announces the launch of “Pepple Street,” a 16-track album highlighting emerging talent from Africa while emphasizing unity and collaboration.
Named after the historic Pepple Street, once home to Fela Kuti, the album showcases Africa’s rich cultural heritage and diverse musical traditions, incorporating influences from Lagos, Accra, and Nairobi.
“Pepple Street” merges traditional African rhythms with contemporary elements, blending Afrobeats, hip-hop, and R&B. Each track narrates stories of empowerment, love, and resilience, resonating with listeners on a personal level.
The album features collaboration among artists from Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya, including Kvng Vidarr, Rozzz, Dela, Wendy Kay, Diyo Matalo, Tamate, Wondy, Jenz Williams, and Jordan Styls, reflecting Africa’s vibrant musical landscape.
MBAFA’s innovative approach involved 383 members of its cohort, organized into teams for project management and promotion, ensuring support for artists from studio to stage.
“Pepple Street” is poised to captivate global audiences with its narrative and beats, celebrating Africa’s creativity and collaboration. With this release, MBAFA showcases the bright future of African music.
