The singer-turned-actor will be honored for his feature debut in Ryan Coogler’s Sinners at the 2025 SCAD Savannah Film Festival.
The 2025 SCAD Savannah Film Festival has announced its list of honorees ahead of this year’s edition, set to run from October 25 to November 1 in Savannah, Georgia.
Among the recipients is singer and actor Miles Caton, who will receive the Rising Star Award for his breakout performance in Ryan Coogler’s Sinners. Caton, who makes his feature debut in the film, joins a lineup of acclaimed talents being celebrated for their performances and creative contributions.
Tessa Thompson will receive the Distinguished Performance Award for her role in Hedda, while Will Arnett and Rose Byrne will share the Luminary Award for their performances in This Thing On? and If I Had Legs, I’d Kick You, respectively.
Zoey Deutch will be honored with the Breakthrough Performance Award for Nouvelle Vague, and Joel Edgerton will receive the Vanguard Award for Train Dreams.
Mark Hamill will be presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award for The Life of Chuck, while Oscar Isaac is set to receive the Icon Award during a special screening of Frankenstein.
Other honorees include Dylan O’Brien, who will receive the Lumiere Award for Twinless, and Benny Safdie, who will take home the Maverick Director Award for The Smashing Machine.
