The single, titled “Dream as One,” will be released in November.
Miley Cyrus to Release Original Song for “Avatar: Fire and Ash” Soundtrack
Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter Miley Cyrus is set to release an original song for the soundtrack of Avatar: Fire and Ash, the upcoming third installment in James Cameron’s blockbuster Avatar franchise.
Titled “Dream as One,” the track was co-written by Cyrus alongside her longtime collaborators Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt. The song will be released on November 14, 2025, ahead of the film’s theatrical debut on December 19, 2025.
Cyrus shared the announcement on social media with a short preview of the song, describing the project as deeply personal. Reflecting on her experience surviving the 2018 Woolsey Fire that destroyed her Malibu home, she wrote, “Having been personally affected by fire and being rebuilt from the ashes, this project holds profound meaning for me.”
Even before its release, “Dream as One” is already drawing early Oscar buzz for Cyrus, Ronson, and Wyatt. Its November debut positions it for eligibility in the Best Original Song category when nominations are announced in January 2026. Ronson and Wyatt previously won in the same category in 2019 for co-writing “Shallow” with Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper for A Star is Born.
The year has been a successful one for Cyrus, following the release of her Billboard 200 top-ten album Something Beautiful, featuring singles such as “Easy Lover,” “More to Lose,” and “End of the World.” The project inspired a theatrical concert film and a deluxe edition featuring collaborations with David Byrne, Lindsey Buckingham, and Mick Fleetwood.
With Something Beautiful receiving widespread critical acclaim and Grammy buzz, “Dream as One” marks another major milestone for the singer as she continues to expand her artistic range.
