EbonyLife Studios has wrapped production on the second season of “Blood Sisters”, Netflix’s first Nigerian original series.
In a statement shared on December 11, 2024, Mo Abudu, founder of EbonyLife and Executive Producer of the series, expressed her gratitude and excitement for the milestone, describing the production as “an extraordinary blessing.”
“Ending 2024 on this high note is a gift,” Abudu said. “From our talented writers who worked magic into every script, to our incredible cast whose performances will leave you speechless, and our hardworking crew who brought everything to life with passion and dedication—this has been unforgettable.”
“Blood Sisters” debuted in 2022, gaining over 11 million viewing hours in its first week and captivating audiences worldwide with its intense tale of friendship, betrayal, and survival. The first season concluded with a high-stakes warehouse confrontation, leaving fans on the edge of their seats.
Season 2 promises even more twists, turns, and edge-of-your-seat drama. Though an official release date has not been announced, Abudu assured fans that the wait will be worthwhile as the series undergoes Netflix’s rigorous post-production and quality control process.
The upcoming season introduces new faces, including Michelle Dede, Ben Touitou, Anita ‘Warri Pikin’ Asuoha, and Blessing Jessica Obasi, alongside returning stars Ini Dima-Okojie, Nancy Isime, Kate Henshaw, and Uche Jombo.
