Nollywood Rom-com “Reel Love” leads Box Office weekend titles, hits over 300 million

Nollywood Valentine’s special title “Reel Love” has attained a new Box Office milestone, grossing a total of N304 million to make it the leading weekend film title.
Produced by Timini Egbuson and directed by Kayode Kasum, the film explores the curated realities of social media influencers.
In its fifth week since its February 14 debut, “Reel Love” maintained its dominance, adding ₦20.8 million to its total earnings.
“Reel Love” accumulated an additional N20.8 million to secure its first place on the Nigerian Box Office recent statistics.
Previously the highest-grossing title, “Captain America” now sits in second place, earning an additional ₦19.6 million to reach ₦374.7 million.
Meanwhile, Steven Soderbergh’s thriller “Black Bag” debuted in the Nigerian box office with ₦12.1 million. “Cartel” and “Mickey 17”, both in their second weeks, grossed ₦6.2 million and ₦4 million, respectively.
As Timini’s “Reel Love” continues its theatrical run nationwide, speculations and debates also continue, hinting at how much the Valentine title might eventually close at.
