Omah Lay’s sophomore album Clarity of Mind recorded 16.72 million streams in its first week on Spotify Nigeria, marking one of the platform’s biggest album debuts.

The 12-track project generated over 3.3 million streams on its first day, contributing to its overall first-week total. The figure places the album as the eighth-highest debut on Spotify Nigeria.

In comparison, Davido’s Timeless recorded 14.4 million streams, Seyi Vibez’s FUJI MOTO reached 14.7 million, while Asake’s Work of Art posted 8.3 million.

All 12 tracks from Clarity of Mind debuted within the top 20 of the Spotify Nigeria weekly chart. “Artificial Happiness” peaked at No. 2, behind “Bum Bum” by Kidd Carder and Mavo, which held the top spot.

Beyond Nigeria, the album debuted at No. 112 on the Spotify Global Weekly Top Albums chart, marking Omah Lay’s first entry on the ranking. He also appeared on the Global Spotify Daily Top Artists chart at No. 139, becoming one of the few Nigerian acts to reach the milestone.

Among international releases, The Last of Wun by Gunna remains the only foreign project in the top 20 of Nigeria’s biggest first-week streams, driven by collaborations with Wizkid and Burna Boy.
