Oversabi Aunty, the comedy-drama led by Toyin Abraham, is entering its final week in Nigerian cinemas, bringing an 11-week theatrical run to a close after opening on December 19, 2025.
According to FilmOne Entertainment, the film has grossed N1.165 billion across West Africa. The figure makes it Abraham’s first project to cross the one billion naira mark at the box office.
The film stars Abraham alongside Enioluwa Adeoluwa, Queen Nwokoye, Mike Ezuruonye, Efe Irele and Tana Adelana. It follows an overzealous church worker whose attempts to interfere in other families’ affairs begin to affect her own household.

Over the course of its run, Oversabi Aunty has ranked among the highest-grossing Nollywood titles and is currently positioned as the fourth highest-grossing Nigerian film of all time. It also marks a milestone as the first Nollywood directorial debut to surpass N1 billion.
As the film prepares to leave cinemas, its performance adds to a strong theatrical cycle for locally produced titles and reinforces Abraham’s commercial track record within the industry.
