A24 is courting Hollywood heavyweights Robert Pattinson and Zendaya for its latest project.
The film, rumored to be a “romantic drama” about a couple facing life-altering events on the cusp of their wedding, will be directed by Norwegian filmmaker Kristoffer Borgli.
Borgli, who is coming off the success of his 2022 black comedy “Dream Scenario” which earned Nicholas Cage a Golden Globe nomination, also penned the script of this film.
While plot details and a release date remain under wraps, A24 is set to produce and finance the project.
Ari Aster, Lars Knudsen, and Tyler Campellone of Square Peg Films are also on board as producers.
Zendaya, fresh off her starring roles in “Challengers” and “Dune: Part Two,” brings her two-time Emmy-winning talent from HBO’s “Euphoria” to the table.
Pattinson, who recently voiced a character in the Oscar-winning “The Boy and the Heron,” is best known for his transformative role in 2022’s “The Batman.”
“The Drama” marks Borgli’s third directorial effort, solidifying A24’s reputation for pairing established stars with up-and-coming directors.
As negotiations continue, film enthusiasts eagerly await further details on this intriguing collaboration.
