Nigerian crime thriller “Red Circle”has been honored with the AMD Emerging Talent Award at the Global Entertainment Awards, held in Algarve, Portugal.
The annual ceremony recognizes outstanding achievements in marketing and promotion across film, television, gaming, and streaming.
Directed by Akay Manson, Red Circle follows investigative journalist Fikayo Holloway (Folu Storms) as she unravels a dangerous crime syndicate in Lagos.
The film boasts a star-studded cast, including Bukky Wright, Timini Egbuson, Tobi Bakre, Lateef Adedimeji, and Omowunmi Dada, with Abdul Tijani-Ahmed and Nora Awolowo serving as producers.
Awolowo, who celebrated the recognition on social media, described it as the “best birthday gift” and credited the production team for their contributions. She also acknowledged renowned film producer strategist Mimi Bartels for encouraging the film’s submission.
The award places “Red Circle” alongside high-profile winners such as “Squid Game Season 2”, “Baby Reindeer”, and “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga”, further spotlighting Nollywood’s growing presence on the global stage.
The film is set for release on June 6, 2025.
