The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, one of the most renowned music events in the world, is set to return in 2025, running across two weekends: April 11-13 and 18-20. Held at the iconic Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California, the festival will feature over 140 artists, drawing music lovers from around the globe.

This year, Nigerian music will once again shine on the Coachella stage with confirmed performances from Afrobeats sensation Rema and Afrobeat legend Seun Kuti, accompanied by the Egypt 80 band.

Rema, known for his signature “Afro-rave” sound, has been on an unstoppable rise. His second studio album, “HEIS”, released in July 2024, has further cemented his position in the industry, alongside a Grammy nomination this year. His 2022 hit collaboration with Selena Gomez, “Calm Down”, recently made history as the first Afrobeats song to surpass one billion views on YouTube.

Before Coachella, Rema will thrill fans with live performances in Lagos and Abuja this December. He is scheduled to perform at Coachella on April 13 and 20.

Seun Kuti, the charismatic frontman of the legendary Egypt 80 band, brings a dynamic fusion of Afrobeat and highlife music to the festival. Their latest album, “Heavier Yet (Lays the Crownless Head)”, released in October 2024, has garnered critical acclaim for its innovative sound. With recent tours across the UK, US, France, and Australia, Kuti and Egypt 80 have reinforced their reputation as Afrobeat pioneers. They will take the stage on April 11 and 18.

Coachella 2025 will be headlined by Lady Gaga, Green Day, and Post Malone, with special guest appearances by Travis Scott, promising an unforgettable lineup of performances.
