Veteran actor and executive producer Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) has shared the reasons behind his casting choices for “Radio Voice.”
With the anticipated project underway, RMD emphasized the importance of selecting actors capable of delivering powerful performances.
This led him to cast Nollywood stars Nancy Isime, Nse Ikpe-Etim, Deyemi Okanlawon, Blessing Obasi, Blossom Chukwujekwu, and Timini Egbuson.
Speaking on the Your View TV show on April 1, RMD also revealed that “Radio Voice” was inspired by women’s resilience.
“I needed strong performances, which is why I chose actors who could bring their A-game. It’s purely coincidental that the film has a strong female lead, but I’ve always admired the strength women exhibit, whether raising a child alone or overcoming loss.”
The 63-year-old veteran further disclosed that “Radio Voice,” directed by Isioma Osaje, marks his return to film production after a long hiatus.
With just ten days until its release, “Radio Voice,” a story of resilience and redemption, is set to premiere on April 11.
