The curated July list highlights 20 fan-favourite horror titles.
Ryan Coogler’s “Sinners” Tops Letterboxd’s Most Popular Horror Films List
Ryan Coogler’s latest horror film, “Sinners,” has ranked as the most popular horror title on Letterboxd’s curated list for July.
The film is Coogler’s fourth feature and arguably his most ambitious yet, following his work on “Fruitvale Station” (2013), “Creed” (2015), and the two “Black Panther” films.
Released by Letterboxd on August 4, the list places “Sinners” ahead of Danny Boyle’s “28 Years Later” (2025) and Danny Philippou’s “Bring Her Back” (2025), which came in second and third respectively.
Jennifer Robinson’s “I Know What You Did Last Summer” (2025) ranked fourth, followed by Boyle’s earlier film, “28 Days Later.”
Other notable entries include “Opus” (2025) starring Ayo Edebiri, Jordan Peele’s “Get Out” (2017), and “Smile” (2022).
“Sinners” topping the list further cements its growing popularity since release.
