Seyi Vibez (born Oluwaloseyi Afolabi Balogun) has scored the biggest opening of his career with the release of his latest album, FUJI MOTO.
The project amassed more than 4.5 million Spotify streams within its first 24 hours, marking the 25-year-old’s strongest debut to date.
The album also enters the history books as the 13th-highest opening for a Nigerian album on Spotify, overtaking Burna Boy’s Twice as Tall (4.3 million) and Asake’s Work of Art (4 million). It, however, trails the all-time Nigerian Spotify debut leader, Morayo (16.27 million).
Boosted in part by renewed attention to earlier favourites such as Shaolin and Happy Song, FUJI MOTO has already pushed Seyi Vibez to 128 million total Spotify streams, making the project the 7th most-streamed Nigerian album of 2025 so far.
The momentum is just as strong on Apple Music Nigeria, where FUJI MOTO debuted at No. 1 on the Top Albums chart. Four tracks—including AMA and HOW ARE YOU—have also reached No. 1 on the Apple Music Nigeria Top Songs chart.
In a remarkable showing, all 14 tracks from the album currently sit within the Top 30 of the Apple Music Nigeria songs ranking, with AMA leading at No. 1 and Happy Song appearing at No. 26.
Released on November 14, FUJI MOTO blends the classic rhythms of Yoruba Fuji music with the raw dynamism of contemporary street sound, reinforcing Seyi Vibez’s growing influence in Nigeria’s evolving music landscape.
