The street-hop sensation becomes the 27th Nigerian artiste to achieve this streaming milestone.
Shallipopi Reaches 600 Million Career Streams on Spotify
Nigerian street-pop star Shallipopi has crossed 600 million career streams across all credits on Spotify, making him the 27th Nigerian artiste to reach the milestone.
He surpasses Tekno, who currently stands at 587 million streams, to claim his spot on the leaderboard.
The 25-year-old’s rising numbers are buoyed by the success of tracks like “Laho” (and its remixes), as well as his guest appearance on “Juju” by Smur Lee and ODUMODUBLVCK—contributions that account for nearly a fifth of his overall streams.
It’s a notable feat for an artiste whose career only began three years ago.
Coincidentally, this milestone comes alongside another: 1da Banton has become the 37th Nigerian act to reach 400 million career streams on Spotify.
Here are the 30 most streamed Nigerian artists on Spotify across all credits as of July 31, 2025), according to the Debut Hub.
