Netflix’s limited series “Adolescence” has officially confirmed its contenders for the 2025 Emmy Awards as the May 8 submission deadline approaches.
Stephen Graham will compete in the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series category for his role as Eddie Miller, the father of a teenager accused of murder. Owen Cooper, who played 13-year-old Jamie Miller, will campaign in the Supporting Actor category, following widespread praise for his performance.

The announcement comes ahead of the Emmy nomination reveal set for July 15. Other actors submitted include Erin Doherty (Briony Ariston) and Christine Tremarco (Manda Miller) in the Supporting Actress category, and Ashley Walters (Detective Luke Bascombe) in Supporting Actor.
While the series has gained attention for its Emmy campaign, some viewers have questioned why Graham, rather than Cooper, was submitted as the lead.
Despite the debate, “Adolescence” continues to generate awards buzz as one of Netflix’s strongest contenders in the limited series race.
