The Ogunmola Company and Imagine Media have joined forces to bring to life a brand new romantic drama titled “Summer Rain.” The film, set to commence principal photography in April, promises to take audiences on an emotional journey spanning over 10 years.
“Summer Rain” tells the story of two friends whose path to love is filled with trials and tribulations. The narrative not only explores the complexities of their relationship but also delves into how certain experiences shape their lives and how the choices made by parents can profoundly affect their children.
“When this story was conceived and I shared it with @bolajiogunmola almost 3 years ago, it seemed like it wouldn’t happen!” director Adenike Esho revealed on her Instagram page. “But here we are!!!!! Ladies and gentlemen, ‘Summer Rain’ is a reality!”
The film boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Bolaji Ogunmola, Daniel Etim-Effiong, Lateef Adedimeji, Genoveva Umeh, Kayode Ojuolape Jnr., Tina Mba, Femi Branch, Emeka Nwagbarocha, Michael Ejoor, Kalu-Anaga Emmanuel Eme, Temitope Olowoniyan, Kachi Nnochiri, and Darasimi Nadi.
Adenike Esho, a lawyer-turned-content creator, has taken on the directorial reins again for “Summer Rain.” After practicing law for a few years, Esho decided to pursue her passion for the media industry, eventually becoming a film critic.
While the exact release date for “Summer Rain” is still unknown, the film is confirmed to have a theatrical run sometime later this year in 2024.
“Summer Rain” promises to captivate audiences with its heartwarming and relatable narrative, exploring the intricacies of love, life, and the lasting impact of parental decisions.
