The sci-fi short will premiere alongside global titles at the Toronto festival this September.
Bam Bam, a sci-fi short film by Nigerian filmmaker Tolulope Itegboje, has been officially selected for the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
The announcement was made by Itegboje on September 1. Produced under LWS Films, the short features Ambrose Nwoga, Uche Udegbe, and Victory Eyong, and will screen during the festival’s September 4–14 run in Canada.
The coming-of-age story follows a shy teenager whose pursuit of love—encouraged by his otherworldly best friend—forces him to confront his deepest fears.

The film was produced by Oge Obasi and Itegboje, with executive production by Dodos Uvieghara, Ezra Olubi, and Olamide Adedeji.
Bam Bam joins other titles in the TIFF lineup, including Dust to Dreams, Idris Elba’s directorial debut, Stitches, My Father’s Shadow, and No Other Choice.
