“Iyalode,” the Yoruba epic produced by Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham, has concluded its theatrical run after an impressive eight weeks, grossing a total of N306.3 million.
The Nigerian Box Office revealed the figure in an update released on July 30, 2025, placing “Iyalode” among the select Nollywood titles that have surpassed the N300 million mark.
Directed by Adebayo Tijani, the film enjoyed a strong presence in cinemas, topping the Nigerian box office as the highest-grossing film for three consecutive weekends. Within its first two weeks, it crossed the N200 million milestone.
Starring Abraham alongside Muyiwa Ademola, Kehinde Bankole, and Wale Ojo, the epic explores themes of power and betrayal. Its performance draws parallels with the success of Muyiwa Ademola’s record-breaking film “Ori: Rebirth.”
As it exits cinemas, “Iyalode” joins the ranks of the highest-grossing epic films in Nollywood history.
