Netflix has begun production on Season 3 of Wednesday, the dark comedy series starring Jenna Ortega. The new season follows the show’s 2022 debut and its second installment released in 2025.
The streaming platform announced the update on Instagram with a gothic-themed teaser revealing returning and new cast members.
Returning actors include Ortega as Wednesday Addams, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia, Luis Guzmán as Gomez, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley, Joanna Lumley as Grandmama and Joy Sunday as Bianca. Hunter Doohan, Billie Piper, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, Fred Armisen, Georgie Farmer and Victor Dorobantu are also set to reprise their roles.

Winona Ryder joins the cast in a guest role as Tabitha. The project reunites her with Ortega, who portrayed her daughter in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (2024), and with director Tim Burton, her longtime collaborator.
Season 3 will also feature Eva Green as Aunt Ophelia, alongside Chris Sarandon and Noah Taylor, marking additional reunions with Burton. The teaser notably excluded Emma Myers’ name, despite her established role as Enid, prompting speculation about her character’s return.
The upcoming season continues Wednesday Addams’ story at Nevermore Academy. Unlike the three-year gap between Seasons 1 and 2, the third season is set one year after the events of Season 2.
