When Tari Met Voke, a romantic comedy written and produced by Praise Okeghene Vadeh, is set to screen at the debut edition of Saving Cinema in April.
The film is one of five titles selected to launch the screening initiative, which aims to spotlight independent filmmakers.
Saving Cinema was founded by Adebayo Oduwole in collaboration with Vadeh to support independent cinema through curated private screenings.
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Oduwole unveiled the selection, confirming the inclusion of When Tari Met Voke in the upcoming event scheduled to hold in Lagos.

The film stars Sharon Rotimi and Timilehin Ojeola as Voke and Tari, two individuals who meet at a house party while attempting to move past personal experiences. Their interaction begins on uncertain terms but gradually evolves as they discover shared ground.
Through its narrative, the film explores themes of personal history and the ways individuals navigate and conceal their past.
The inaugural edition of Saving Cinema is scheduled to hold on April 11 at Magnificent Cinemas, with additional selected films yet to be announced.
