Williams Uchemba, Hilda Dokubo Reunite for “The God’s Gift”

Nollywood actor and producer Williams Uchemba is set to reunite with veteran actress Hilda Dokubo in an upcoming film titled “The God’s Gift,” which he is executively producing.

Directed by Kayode Kasum and produced by Chris Odeh, the film’s plot and synopsis remain under wraps, but Uchemba has expressed his excitement about working with Dokubo once again, 25 years after their first collaboration.

In an Instagram post, Uchemba reminisced about their earlier project, stating, “Fun fact: The very first movie I did (‘Journey of the Dead,’ 1999), Mummy @hildadokubo played my mother, and I knew that there would be no way I will be telling a story as beautiful as #TheGoodGift without having her in it. One of the most beautiful souls you will come across @hildadokubo.”

The reunion between the two actors holds significant sentimental value, as Dokubo portrayed Uchemba’s mother in his acting debut nearly a quarter-century ago.

Details about the film’s plot and release date have not been disclosed yet, but the collaboration between Uchemba and Dokubo, along with the involvement of Kasum, known for his acclaimed work in “Ajosepo,” portend a momentous cinematic experience in the near future.
