Wizkid’s “Morayo” album may have enjoyed strong commercial performance, but its accompanying world tour has faced mounting setbacks, with several shows now cancelled across North America and Europe.
Initially, four North American dates were dropped, including scheduled performances at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena (June 5), New York’s Madison Square Garden (June 7), Ontario’s Scotiabank Arena (June 11), and Baltimore’s CFG Bank Arena (June 15). Now, the European leg—previously expected to proceed as planned—has also been affected, with cancellations confirmed for Paris’ Accor Arena and Berlin’s Velodrome.
While no official explanation has been provided by Wizkid’s team, online speculation has pointed to factors such as low ticket sales and logistical challenges. The cancellations have prompted concern among fans, who worry that more dates may be cut in the coming weeks.
Tour cancellations are not new in the industry. In 2023, both Burna Boy and Davido called off several shows during their respective tours.
Wizkid’s supporters, known collectively as “Wizkid FC,” remain hopeful that the cancellations are temporary. However, the string of changes has raised questions about the future of the tour and the artist’s current momentum.
