Wizkid Tops Spotify and Apple Music Wrapped in Nigeria

Global sensation Wizkid has been named Nigeria’s most‑streamed artiste of the year, while his album Morayo leads the charts as the country’s most‑streamed project.

Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid,  has been crowned Nigeria’s most-streamed artiste of the year, according to Spotify and Apple Music’s newly released 2025 Wrapped data.

 

The acclaimed singer, recognized for his steady track record of producing hits, dominated the charts with his latest album Morayo, which was released in 2024, and secured the position as Nigeria’s most-streamed album. This accomplishment reinforces his dominance as an artiste whose music maintains strong appeal among listeners both domestically and internationally.

 

The annual roundup highlights Wizkid leading a list that also features Seyi Vibez, Asake, Burna Boy, ODUMODUBLVCK, BNXN, FOLA, Davido, Rema, and Olamide among the lineup. On the female side, Ayra Starr and Tems secured top spots, joined by Smur Lee, Billie Eilish, SZA, Darkoo, Qing Madi, Tiwa Savage, Rihanna, and Sunmisola Agbebi.

 

While Morayo claimed the number one album, Davido’s 5ive followed closely in second place, with BNXN’s Captain and Burna Boy’s No Sign of Weakness also making the list. In the singles category, Davido and Omah Lay’s “With You” was the most‑streamed song in Nigeria, while Wizkid’s “Kese (Dance)” secured a place among the year’s biggest tracks.

 

For Wizkid, 2025 has been another defining year. With his streaming dominance, his recent album topping year-end charts, and his upcoming documentary premiering on HBO Max, the Grammy winner is no doubt one of  the pillars of Nigeria’s cultural artistry.
