The quirky feature is the writer’s longest screenplay to date, with an ensemble Nollywood cast.
Nollywood showrunner and screenwriter Xavier Ighorodje has announced his latest project, “GINGERRrr”—a new feature starring Wumi Toriola, Bolaji Ogunmola, Bisola Aiyeola, and Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori (Kiekie).

Directed by Yemi Morafa, the film is produced by Onyeka and executively produced by the featured cast members along with Ope Ajayi. The lead actor is yet to be officially confirmed.
Sharing the news via Instagram on July 2, Ighorodje revealed that “GINGERRrr” is his longest script to date, both in terms of development time and page count, coming in at 165 pages.

“GINGERRrr is one of the sickest, quirkiest, and funniest things I’ve had the pleasure and honor to write,” he wrote. “It also happens to be the longest project I’ve worked on, from story development to first draft. That’s largely due to some stylistic choices and liberties I took. I’m just grateful the powers that be had the patience, budget, and vision to accommodate my silliest excesses.”

While plot details remain under wraps and no release date has been announced, “GINGERRrr” marks Ighorodje’s third major project in 2025, following the AMVCA-nominated “Uriri” and the hit TV series “Our Husband.”
