The stage production, “YE! An Afrobeats Musical” is set to make its anticipated return to Lagos following last year’s grand debut.
The Vibra Company, in association with Nevana Productions, will present the show at Muson Centre, Lagos from June 7-9, 2025.
The production celebrates the global force of Afrobeats through an engaging fusion of music, dance, and storytelling.
The musical follows two young talents; Jemi, a gifted musician, and Rire, a passionate fashion designer, as they pursue their dreams on a national talent show. Set against Lagos’s backdrop, the story explores family expectations, self-discovery, and authenticity while embodying rhythm, passion, and African excellence.
Under the direction of Nevana Productions CEO Austine Onuoha and written by Kelvinmary Ndukwe, the production features music direction by acclaimed composer Kehinde Oretimehim and Peter Durodola, with choreography by Abimbola Fakiya.
The cast includes performers like; Preere Opoufoni, Stanley Okeke, Theodora Omo Onoapoi, Jeff Melu, and Chinonso Young Umesiobi.
A preview of the show premiered at Alliance Française on March 29 to celebrate World Theatre Day, offering a glimpse of the dynamic performance to come.
“I have always wanted to work with Austine Onuoha, the visionary shaping the magic behind the scenes,” Tai Ajayi, Executive Producer of ‘Ye!’ and Chief Executive of Vibra Company emphasized..
