The Nigerian actress-turned-filmmaker’s YouTube channel leads the platform’s Top 10 Creator Channels of 2025 in Nigeria, earning her the coveted creator of the year title.

Following the remarkable growth of her YouTube channel, Nollywood actress and producer Omoni Oboli has emerged as Nigeria’s Creator of the Year for 2025. YouTube Africa announced the milestone on its official Instagram page, celebrating Oboli alongside other creators who made the Top 10 list for 2025.

 

Behind Omoni Oboli TV in the rankings is IteleDiconStudio in second place, followed by Uchenna Mbunano TV and Saira Movies in third and fourth positions respectively. Maurice Sam TV claimed fifth place, with RuthKadiri 247 in sixth position. The remaining channels on the list include APATATV+, Uche Montana TV, Sonia Uche TV and Brain Jotter. 

 

Oboli’s win is strongly tied to the extraordinary success of Love in Every Word, a heartfelt Nollywood romance that examines cultural differences, personal growth and love. The film surpassed 15 million views within its first week on YouTube after its debut in March 2025 and now sits at 30 million views, making it the highest ever achieved by a Nigerian-owned platform.

Building on the momentum of the first instalment, Love in Every Word 2: The Wedding was released in October and has since amassed more than 18 million views. The continued success of the franchise is redefining the possibilities of YouTube as a viable distribution path for Nollywood filmmakers.

 

Oboli’s achievement reflects her exceptional work in 2025. It also highlights the growing commitment of Nollywood filmmakers who are building sustainable, independent distribution channels outside traditional cinemas and streaming platforms.
