Zendaya, Jon Bernthal Return in “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” Sequel

Zendaya is set to reprise her role as MJ in the upcoming Marvel-Sony film, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” alongside Jon Bernthal, who returns as the Punisher.

Bernthal’s return was confirmed in a June 21 report, with Tom Holland also expected to lead the cast as Peter Parker. The film will follow the events of “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” where Peter’s identity as Spider-Man is erased from public memory.

Destin Daniel Cretton, known for “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings,” is attached to direct, with production scheduled to begin later this year. The film is slated for theatrical release on July 31, 2026.

While Zendaya and Bernthal are confirmed, the extent of their roles remains unknown. Plot and character details are still under wraps, though additional cast members including Mark Ruffalo have been confirmed.
