Zuma International Film Festival Opens 2025 Call for Film Entries

The festival seeks powerful, diverse stories that reflect global and economic relevance.

The Zuma International Film Festival (ZIFF) has officially announced its call for entries, inviting filmmakers from Nigeria and beyond to submit their creative works for the 2025 edition.

 

The call was made public via a press release signed by the festival’s Director of Public Affairs, Brian Etuk, on June 2.

 

The submission window opens on June 4 and will run through September 5, 2025. Eligible entries must be films produced between September 4, 2023, and September 5, 2025.

 

Zuma Festival Call for Entries

Award categories for this edition include Best Picture, Best Cinematography, Best Director, Best Documentary, Best Foreign Film, Best Student Film, and Best Indigenous Film, among others.

 

ZIFF 2025 will take place in Abuja from December 1 to 5, where selected films and their creators will be showcased and celebrated.

 

With the theme “Storytelling for Global Influence: Film as a Soft Power and Economic Force,” the festival aims to spotlight the role of cinema in shaping narratives and driving economic impact.
