Africa Magic Announces New Drama Series “The Yard”, Premiering March 31

Africa Magic has unveiled its latest original series, “The Yard”, set to premiere on March 31, 2025, exclusively on Africa Magic Showcase.
A social drama, “The Yard” follows two lead characters who take opposing paths in their fight for justice.
The series promises an exploration of privilege, ambition, and the pursuit of change.
On March 15, Africa Magic teased the show’s premise via Instagram, writing:
“One rejects privilege, the other fights to rise from nothing. Their alliance is built on justice—but in “The Yard”, can true change ever be achieved?”
Directed by Chinazaekpere Chukwu, The Yard marks her debut in TV directing. She shared her excitement on social media, revealing that she secured the opportunity after reaching out to Nollywood filmmaker James Omokwe.
“How it started vs how it’s going. Last year, I tagged @JamesOmokwe and told him I wanted to direct on a 130. This year, he got me on my first TV directing gig. March 31st! Y’all are gonna see what we cooked,” she wrote.
As anticipation builds, “The Yard” is expected to deliver a compelling and thought-provoking story when it premieres on Africa Magic Showcase.
