Rema Reigns on YouTube in 2025; Teases Dreamy New Snippet

Rema’s discography is already setting the tone for the year by beginning on a high note.

According to The Debut Hub on X, the 24 year-old had 223 million streams on YouTube in the first quarter of 2025 (January – March) which is the most of any Nigerian act on the global platform.

He’s outpaced some of the biggest names in Afrobeats, including Burna Boy (171 million), Arya Starr (169 million), Davido (113 million), Wizkid (102 million), and Omah Lay (96.7 million).

Rema’s record on YouTube doesn’t end there. His first single of 2025, “Baby (Is it A Crime)” has already notched up 14 million streams, making it the most streamed Nigerian song of 2025.

As if responding to the buzz, Rema took to his official X, to preview a neww single, titled “Bout U,” set for release on April 11. The one-minute and twenty second clip shows him performing solo against a warm orange backdrop, crooning to a fictional muse as a soft, gliding synth line floats beneath his vocals. “Time is running out, girl let’s make it count, this loe affair got me living in the clouds” he sings to his fictional love interest.
