Nigerian superstar Burna Boy has announced that he will return to the London Stadium in 2027, extending his record as the only African artiste to headline and sell out the iconic 80,000-capacity venue.

The Grammy-winning singer revealed the news on his X account on Monday, August 3, just hours after unveiling a custom diamond-encrusted neckpiece commissioned to commemorate his sold-out London Stadium concerts in 2023 and 2024.

Burna Boy first made history in June 2023 when he became the first African artiste to headline and sell out the stadium during his Love, Damini Tour. He returned a year later for another sold-out performance as part of his I Told Them Tour, further cementing his status as one of Africa’s biggest live performers.

With a third concert now scheduled for 2027, the Port Harcourt-born artiste continues to strengthen his legacy on one of the United Kingdom’s biggest concert stages.

In his announcement, Burna Boy also hinted that more news would follow in the coming weeks, fueling speculation that a new album or major project could precede the 2027 show.

The announcement caps another landmark year for the Afro-fusion star. His collaboration with Colombian singer Shakira, “Dai Dai,” the official anthem of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, has enjoyed widespread global success, surpassing 500 million views on YouTube and 280 million streams on Spotify. The record has also earned a Gold certification in France, extending Burna Boy’s record as the most-certified Nigerian artiste in the country.

Earlier this year, global music data platform Chartmasters named Burna Boy the best-selling African artiste of all time, reporting 14.46 million equivalent album sales across his catalogue.

He also recently expanded his influence beyond music after being announced as an executive consultant on the soundtrack of the forthcoming Hollywood adaptation of Children of Blood and Bone, with Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Tems serving as executive producer and curator.
