Netflix has officially announced that “Enola Holmes 3” is now in production in the UK, sharing a first-look image of Millie Bobby Brown and Louis Partridge on set.
The streaming platform made the announcement on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption: “Millie Bobby Brown and Louis Partridge spotted behind the scenes of Enola Holmes 3. NOW IN PRODUCTION!”
The new installment follows Enola on another mystery, this time leading her to Malta, where her personal life and detective work collide in a case more complex and dangerous than anything she’s handled before.
The Enola Holmes series, based on the books by Nancy Springer, was first acquired by Netflix during the 2020 pandemic and quickly became a fan favorite. The previous films saw Enola step out of her brother Sherlock Holmes’ shadow to forge her own path as a detective.
Philip Barantini, known for the crime drama Adolescence, is set to direct the third film. Jack Thorne returns as screenwriter, having penned the first two films.
Returning cast members include Henry Cavill, Helena Bonham Carter, Himesh Patel, and Sharon Duncan-Brewster.
A release date has not yet been announced.
