Africa Film Finance Forum Unveils Inaugural Advisory Board Members

Industry leaders Stephanie Linus and Joy Odiete join the AFF Board to propel its multibillion-dollar vision

The Africa Film Finance Forum (AFFF) has unveiled its inaugural advisory board, established to transform the financial landscape of African cinema.

 

Founded by Mary Ephraim-Egbas, AFFF aims to close the funding gap in African film by connecting filmmakers with investors, stakeholders, and global opportunities.

 

Among the newly announced advisory board members are Nollywood actress and producer Stephanie Linus; CEO of Blue Pictures Entertainment, Joy Odiete; and General Manager of Silverbird Cinemas West Africa, Funmi Onuma.

Other members include Royan Man, Eunice Sampson, Nnamdi Adigwu, Stephina Zwane, Mary Njoki, Ken Egbas, Thalope Mokoena, and Dr. Mories Atoki.

 

In addition, Ben Murray-Bruce, founder of Silverbird Group, has been named the Grand Patron of the forum.

 

With this diverse and accomplished board, AFFF seeks to unite financiers, industry stakeholders, creatives, and policymakers to build a sustainable and thriving African creative economy.

 

African Film Finance Forum 2025

As the forum rolls out its initiatives, it promises to serve as a robust platform for providing financial support and strategic guidance to African filmmakers.

 

The inaugural three-day forum is scheduled to take place from September 16 to 18, 2025.
