Kava will debut in August with over 30 Nollywood titles to serve viewers and filmmakers globally.
Backed by Nollywood powerhouses Inkblot Productions and The Filmhouse Group, a new streaming platform, KAVA (Keep African Voices Alive), is set to launch in August, focusing exclusively on Nollywood films.
Launching with over 30 premium titles, Kava aims to serve as a global hub for Nollywood and African stories across various genres.
On July 26, Damola Ademola, Co-Founder and Head of Marketing at Inkblot Productions, shared a personal reflection on the journey to building Kava and their commitment to bringing it to life.

“And now, it’s real. KAVA has officially stepped into the spotlight, and I’m still taking deep breaths and reminding myself this isn’t a dream!” he said.
Some of the first films available on Kava will include the comedy-drama “Alakada Bad and Boujee,” “Owambe Thieves,” “What About Us,” and “House Job” starring Erica Nlewedim.
In addition to these titles, Kava will offer exclusive post-theatrical releases and beloved Nollywood classics, with new content to be added weekly. The platform will be accessible globally across mobile devices, tablets, and smart TVs.

With Nollywood’s longstanding distribution challenges and the exit of major international streaming platforms like Netflix from local productions, Kava positions itself as a dedicated alternative for both filmmakers and fans.
