Phillip Asaya Snags Nomination for Best Supporting Actor in BINFF

Nollywood actor Philip Asaya has been nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the 2025 Brampton International Nollywood Film Festival (BINFF) in Canada. 

The announcement was made by the actor on September 10, via his social media page, sharing news about his nomination for acting in Through Her Eyes, produced by Amaka Samuel-Okon under DebSam Film Production. 

Through Her Eyes is a Nollywood drama featuring Asaya, Darasimi Nadi, Michael Dappa and Nonso Afolabi and Sameul-Okon. 

Asaya’s nomination is only a part of the nine total nominations secured by Uche Alexmoore’s directed film, which was officially selected at the upcoming film festival. 

Other nominated categories include Best Producer, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Actor, Best Actress International, Best Spoken Word Poetry, Best Nollywood film and Best Film by a Female Filmmaker. 

While the festival has already begun, the award ceremony is scheduled for September 13, 2025, where the winners for each category would be announced.
