Writer-Director Mike Flanagan has officially wrapped production on his latest Stephen King’s King-adapted TV series, Carrie, starring Summer. H. Howell and Siena Agudong.
After four months of filming since June, Flanagan recently shared the wrap update, describing the project as one of the best experiences of his career with the best ensemble cast.
Carrie, an adaptation of King’s 1974 novel, depicts the story of a misfit high-school girl, Carrie White, who has spent her life in seclusion with her domineering mother.
After her father’s sudden and tragic death, Carrie struggles to navigate the unfamiliar world of public high school, a bullying scandal that devastates her community, and the sudden appearance of mysterious telekinetic powers.

Matthew Lillard of Five Nights at Freddy’s as Principal Grayle, Samantha Sloyan of The Fall of the House of Usher as Carrie’s mom, Margaret White and Alison Thornton of Girlfriend’s Guide to Divorce as Chris Hargensen.
In addition, Thalia Dudek, Amber Midthunder, Josie Totah, Arthur Conti, Joel Oulette, Kate Siegel, Michael Trucco, Katee Sackhoff, Rahul Kohli, Heather Graham, and Delainey Hayles are also among the cast members.
Carrie is not Flanagan’s first attempt at directing King’s adapted stories, he had previously worked on Gerald’s Game, Doctor Sleep, and The Life of Chuck feature films. However, Carrie is the first series he has directed from the writer’s novels.
