After a decade long hiatus, the American singer and actress will return to the music scene with “Mature,” scheduled for release on November 6, 2025.
Hilary Duff is back, and this time, it’s not for a movie or television role.
The actress and singer has officially announced her return to music with a new single titled “Mature,” set for release on November 6, 2025.
A countdown on her official website confirmed the news, sending fans into an excited frenzy as they anticipate her first new song in a decade.
While it remains unclear whether Duff will revisit her pop roots or explore a bolder new sound, her comeback has already drawn widespread praise. Since the announcement, her streaming catalog has surged by an impressive 400%, underscoring how eager fans have been for her musical return.

“Mature” also marks a new chapter for Duff, who recently sealed a record deal with Atlantic Records. The last time she released music was in 2015 with her fifth studio album Breathe In. Breathe Out., which birthed the sleeper hit “Sparks.”
In the years following her hiatus, Duff turned her focus to acting, starring in projects like The Haunting of Sharon Tate and the TV series Younger. She also led Hulu’s How I Met Your Father (2022–2023), a spin-off of the beloved sitcom How I Met Your Mother.
Now, with “Mature,” the Lizzie McGuire star seems ready to reintroduce herself, not just as the face of nostalgia, but as an artiste embracing evolution. She is also set to appear in an upcoming docuseries about her life which is currently in development.
