Netflix has added new cast members to its reality series Young, Famous & African, with production currently underway in Johannesburg, South Africa. The upcoming season introduces Nigerian entrepreneur and reality TV personality Kiddwaya, South African DJ and music producer Prince Kaybee, and actress Khanya Mkangisa.
The new additions will join returning cast members including Diamond Platnumz and Khanyi Mbau, expanding the show’s mix of celebrity, business, and social dynamics. Netflix has not yet announced how the new personalities will be integrated into the series’ existing storylines.
Nadia Nakai, who featured prominently in previous seasons, will not be returning for the upcoming instalment. While casting changes have not been officially addressed, the series is expected to maintain its focus on wealth, relationships, and personal rivalries among Africa’s young elite.
Young, Famous & African premiered on Netflix in March 2022 and marked the platform’s first African reality television series. The show features cast members from Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, and Uganda, positioning itself as a pan-African ensemble series.
Netflix has yet to confirm a release date for the new season, but filming is ongoing in Johannesburg, with further updates expected in the coming months.
