TurnTable Charts, Nigeria’s music chart monitoring platform, has released its 2025 year-end rankings, with Asake named the top artiste in the country.
The Grammy-nominated singer accumulated 975 million total units across streaming platforms and radio airplay, both locally and internationally, to secure the No. 1 position. He finished ahead of Wizkid at No. 2, followed by Seyi Vibez, Burna Boy and Davido at Nos. 3, 4 and 5, respectively.
The 2025 ranking marks Asake’s fourth consecutive year at the top of TurnTable’s year-end artiste chart. He first claimed the No. 1 position in 2022, the year he released his debut EP Ololade Asake and his debut album Mr. Money With the Vibe. Tracks from those projects, including “Sungba,” “Terminator,” “Organise” and “Joha,” recorded strong commercial performance.
In addition to leading the overall artiste chart, Asake also ranked as the Most Heard Artiste on Radio in 2025. He topped the Street Hop Artiste category and recorded the year’s highest-charting Street Hop album with Lungu Boy.
The TurnTable Charts operate on a data-driven model that combines weighted streaming figures with radio airplay. According to the platform, this approach offers “the best possible way to measure cultural impact in a high fragmented music landscape,” making Asake’s four-year reign at the top a testament to both reach and staying power.
Meanwhile, Asake’s momentum shows no sign of slowing. His joint EP with Wizkid, Real., Vol. 1, has been performing exceptionally well since its release on January 23, 2026. The project currently holds the record for the biggest opening-day streams for an EP in Spotify Nigeria history, amassing 4.51 million streams, and surpassing the previous record held by Seyi Vibez’s Children of Africa with 2.24 million streams.
