Nigerian superstars Tems and Burna Boy have rewritten the record books on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming the African artistes with the most entries ever on the prestigious U.S. chart.

The breakthrough comes after both artistes earned new chart placements through their featured appearances on American rapper J. Cole’s latest album, The Fall-Off. Tems appears on the track “Bunce Road Blues” alongside Future, which debuted at No. 34, while Burna Boy is featured on “Only You”, which entered the Hot 100 at No. 78.

With these new placements, Tems & Burna Boy now have eight Billboard Hot 100 entries, the highest total ever achieved by performers from Africa, surpassing the previous record held by South African band Seether.

Tems has enjoyed an especially phenomenal 2026 on the U.S. charts. In addition to Bunce Road Blues, she has amassed three Hot 100 entries this year alone, including her collaborations on tracks “Raindance” with British rapper Dave and “What You Need”.

This achievement makes Tems the African artiste with the most Billboard placements so far in 2026. Earlier in February, she made history by becoming the first African female artiste to hit seven Billboard Hot 100 entries, a record she now extends even further.

Burna Boy’s Billboard Hot 100 chart résumé includes hits like “Loved By You” (2021), “Last Last” (2022), “Sittin’ On Top Of The World and Talibans II” (2023), “Just Like Me” and “We Pray” (2024), and “WGFT” (2025), leading up to his latest entry “Only You” in 2026.
