Love & New Notes, a Nollywood rom-com thriller produced by Timini Egbuson, has grossed over ₦328 million at the Nigerian box office, making it the highest-grossing release of 2026 so far.
Egbuson, who also stars in the film, shared the update on Instagram, thanking audiences for their support since its release.
Set against the backdrop of Nigeria’s 1984 currency change, the film has maintained a strong run in cinemas, recording one of the biggest openings of the year and sustaining its position on the box office chart.
Directed by Kayode Kasum, Love & New Notes features Sophie Alakija, Eniola Badmus, Toluwani George, and Akinyoola Ayoola. The story follows a mix of romance and suspense, unfolding around themes of love, secrecy, and survival.
With its current performance, the film is closing in on Egbuson’s previous production, Reel Love (2025), which grossed ₦356 million. If the momentum continues, Love & New Notes could surpass that figure in the coming weeks, setting a new benchmark for the actor-producer’s theatrical releases.
