Following its impressive debut at the Nigerian box office, The Devil Wears Prada 2 has followed it with a no less impressive second-week gross
According to industry analyst, “Nigerian box office” on X, the film grossed ₦32 million from May 8 – 10, a 51% dip from the ₦62.2 million of its opening weekend
Although this figure pales in comparison with the ₦83 million posted by Michael over the same frame, it was still enough to finish in third place at the Nigerian box office.
This was also enough to register among the top 3 biggest openings of the year for an foreign film in Nigeria.
Internationally, The Devil Wears Prada 2 was off to a second weekend. Per industry analyst, Luiz Fernando, the film took in $41 million at the US box office and $75.8 million internationally across 53 overseas markets.
This was a 53% and 48% drop respectively from the $77 million domestic debut and $156.6 million international debut. The latter debut was one of the strongest of 2026: only The Super Mario Galaxy Movie opened higher with a combined $375 million five-day debut.
Directed by David Frankel, the sequel to the 2006 comedy-drama classic sees the return of Meryl Streep as the formidable Miranda Priestly, alongside Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt.
