Jeffrey Wright will reprise his role as Commissioner Jim Gordon in The Batman: Part II, set for release in October 2027.
Wright previously played the character in The Batman (2022) and returns alongside Robert Pattinson, who reprises his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman.
Other returning cast members include Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Colin Farrell as Penguin, Jayme Lawson as Mayor Bella Reál and Gil Perez-Abraham as Officer Martinez.
The cast return was confirmed by director Matt Reeves through a series of GIF posts on X (formerly Twitter).
Production is expected to begin soon, following a series of delays and ongoing speculation surrounding the sequel.
While plot details remain under wraps, the announcement signals steady progress on the long-anticipated follow-up to the 2022 film.
