Golden Mhinutes Pictures Reveals Cast for Upcoming Paranormal Thriller “Idia”

Golden Mhinutes Pictures has unveiled the cast for its latest project, “Idia”, a paranormal thriller rooted in Edo mythology.

Directed by Ese Ariremu and Jide “Jblaze” Oyegbile, the film aims to bring elements of Nigerian culture to the big screen.

This project marks Ariremu’s first feature-length directorial effort after gaining recognition for short films like “Prey” and “Children of the Night”. His previous work, “Prey”, was featured at several international film festivals, including the Toronto Nollywood International Film Festival (TNIFF) and the African International Film Festival (AFRIFF).

Co-directing with Ariremu is Oyegbile, known for his star performance in “House of Ga’a” and his work on “Bloodhound”. The film is produced by Jasper Aziegbemhin, founder of Golden Mhinutes Pictures, with Yvonne Ajoku as associate producer and Courage Obayuwana serving as the director of photography.

The film stars Gbubemi Ejeye in the lead role, alongside Nollywood veterans Tope Tedela, Linda Osifo, Mercy Aigbe, and Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen.

Production is set to begin soon, with expectations that “Idia” will offer a fresh perspective on Edo folklore in a suspenseful narrative.
