The record-breaking anime maintains strong domestic and global momentum, though its absence in China limits further box office growth.
“Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle” Reaches $648M Worldwide, Holds Fifth Place
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle continues its historic box office climb, reaching $648 million globally to become the fifth highest-grossing film of 2025.
The Crunchyroll-distributed anime recorded a 15 percent increase in attendance during its 12th weekend in Japan, adding $3 million to its total. The film has now earned $242.6 million (¥35.78 billion) in its home market with 24.8 million admissions—surpassing Spirited Away as Japan’s second-highest-grossing and second most-watched film of all time.
In North America, Infinity Castle maintained strong performance with $3.5 million in its fourth weekend, despite a 50 percent drop from the previous week. It has now grossed $124 million in the U.S. and Canada and an additional $274 million across other international territories, bringing its cumulative total to $642 million as of October 5, according to analyst Luiz Fernando.
This pushes it ahead of F1: The Movie ($627.9 million) and How to Train Your Dragon ($635.5 million) to secure fifth place on the global box office chart.
Without an official release in China, the film may remain in that position, as Jurassic World: Rebirth holds a distant $866 million. Nonetheless, Infinity Castle stands as a major milestone for the Demon Slayer franchise and for anime cinema’s worldwide box office presence.
