It’s a slow but steady crawl for the highest-grossing anime in Nigerian (and global) history.
“Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle” Nears ₦200M in Nigeria
Five weeks into its theatrical run at the Nigerian box office, mega anime hit Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is preparing to reach the ₦200 million mark.
According to the Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria (CEAN), the sequel to the acclaimed four-season series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba grossed ₦5.4 million in its fifth weekend—a 29% drop from the previous frame—and ₦7.9 million over the full week, enough to secure sixth place on the charts.
As of October 16, the film’s cumulative earnings stood at an impressive ₦183 million.
The road to ₦200 million undoubtedly hinges on one Nollywood newcomer: Osamede. If the Benin-language supernatural epic can bring to bear its audience in numbers, it may surely push Infinity Castle down the line.
Asides being the highest-grossing anime in Nigerian history, it also has a ₦39 million debut, making it the second-highest of 2025.
