This holiday season, “A Danfo Christmas” is set to premiere on Prime Video on December 14, promising laughter, drama, and plenty of heart.

Directed by Sebastian Ukwa and written by Addy Scriptorium, the movie follows Akin and his family on a chaotic journey from Lagos to Idanre in a battered danfo bus.

What starts as a simple trip to spend Christmas together quickly spirals into a test of patience and love. Between family squabbles, a sharp-tongued mother-in-law, and life-changing decisions, the family must confront old wounds and rediscover what truly matters.

The film’s cast includes some of Nollywood’s finest talents, such as Seun Kentebe, Valerie Odunukwe, Korede Lawal, Loveth Ogbene, Myde Glover, Lydia Njohn, and veteran actors Patrick Doyle and Carol King.

Produced by Steve Gukas and Dotun Olakunri, this collaboration between Natives Filmworks, Michelangelo Productions, and First Features aims to deliver a story that feels both deeply Nigerian and universally relatable.

Prime Video Naija’s growing catalog of Nigerian films gets another gem with “A Danfo Christmas”.
